Easter Outfit Inspiration + Laughs

In celebration of Easter which is a holiday to be joyful over if any holiday is cause for joy, I am sharing both an outfit idea (this was my Palm Sunday outfit of choice) and a celebration of my inability to pose. This yellow linen sundress has become one of my favorites. There is something about wearing yellow that is energizing and fundamentally happy. I paired it with pink pearls from my "dealer" friend and my sister's cardigan. I usually wear the dress sans cardi, but the temperature on Sunday was a cool forty-five degrees and even with the sweater I was freezing while we took these photos. Still, yellow is the perfect color for the Easter holiday I think. None of these photos are your traditional style-blogger pose but here's what I've come to terms with: I'm not a traditional style-blogger, and I'll pose however I darn well can. This means half the time I'm doubled over with laughter or bringing on all the sass. More ease for me, more laughs for you. Either way, here's to yellow dresses and wheat-colored (borrowed) cardigans. May your Easter be filled with joy in the fact that death is forever defeated and the fact that someone in this perfection-filled world of blogging actually and legitimately cannot pose.

my desire for a chiropractor is an ever-present thing.

fun fact: it's practically impossible to do a stride-by without pretending to be a vontrapp kid.

anna: "think of a model pose. i know you have it in you."
me: "i don't, anna. i really don't."

*dies of laughter*

  7. Oh! I love this outfit!!! And fun, smiley poses are often infinitely superior to model poses. One mustn't always be concerned about conventionality. :D

How did you do your hair for these pictures? Is that a natural curl, or did you style it?

    1. It's natural curl - or wave, rather. I just sort of put it up in a pony-tail and swept my bangs sideways and pinned them there.

  8. Your dress is so deliciously pastel! I love it.
Also, pose however the heck you want because you are you and this blog is about you - isn't that what it's all about in the end? ;)

    1. You're quite right about that. And as for pastel - this is about as pastel as I can get without beginning to feel insipid. But I like this color.
