This is what I get for not checking up on your blog often enough. You were in Georgetown. I live, like, an hour away. Literally! Ah, well. Plus, our downtown is 50-some years older than Georgetown... :) Totally get you on the old buildings. I love getting to know the people, the "feel" of a new place, but can't help but be awed by the old houses. All the stories the walls could tell.
