Party Style: Green, Gold, Glitter

You all know I love any and every excuse to dress up. And when it comes to holiday parties, I'm such a fan of going as far to the side of glamour as a dare. I've even entertained ideas of putting effort into finding a full-on sequin cocktail dress, but some tiny part of me says it might be veering too far to tacky. I don't honestly care, but currently I don't own a sequin cocktail dress. What I do own, however, are two dresses I find perfect for any Christmas or New Years party, a winter wedding, or any other sort of festive (and, preferably, evening) occasion. I like pairing both dresses with a not-too-dramatic smokey-eye and deep red lipstick, because when you can, why wouldn't you?

I picture the photos in this set as being half Target Christmas advertisement, half "I was too lazy to iron the back drop" and half "glamorous photo-booth." Which, since there are three halves mentioned, also firms up the fact that I don't give two hoots about math.

Do you have a favorite holiday dress?

  2. Douglas is adorable. I have to admit, though, I pictured you with someone a little bit taller...

  5. How lovely party style! Thanks for the pictures dear. Well, I just came here to get some company holiday party ideas for my dad’s company party. He is really confused in choosing the party theme. I wonder if anyone of you could help by suggesting some party ideas!!

    1. Wenni: I'm not sure if he wants a holiday-party theme, but you could always do an "Old Hollywood" theme - men in vintage suits and ladies in glamorous evening attire? Another popular theme currently is the "Roaring 20's" Great Gatsby-style party. Hope this helps!
